2. Website delivery and hosting

Visiting the website involves processing connection data needed to deliver it. This includes the IP address, access time, requested page or file, browser, operating system and, where supplied by your browser, the previously visited page (referrer).

We use the webspace service of united-domains GmbH. According to its published information, IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, provides the webspace on servers in Germany. IONOS retains technical access data with an anonymised IP address for eight weeks for security and service stability. Further information: united-domains privacy information for webspace.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are providing a secure, reliable website and detecting and preventing misuse.

3. Enquiry tool and email contact

When you use “Prepare enquiry”, your browser processes the company, name, email address, preferred contact and topic, together with any optional phone number and message you enter. These entries are used to create and display an email draft. The website neither sends them to our server nor stores them in a user account or database.

Opening the draft passes the information to your email application or email provider. We receive your enquiry only when you send that email yourself. The copy function places the draft on your device’s clipboard. Your email provider’s privacy information applies to its processing.

When you email or call us, we use the information you provide to deal with your enquiry and communicate with you. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies where you personally are a contracting party and the processing concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps you request. For business contacts and other enquiries, the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is handling the communication appropriately.

Providing your details is voluntary. Without the contact information needed to handle an enquiry, we may be unable to reply. This landing page has no invoice uploads, customer accounts or automatically submitted contact form.

4. Cookies, browser storage and external content

The landing page’s own features do not set cookies or store your details persistently in your browser. There are no website analytics, advertising cookies, embedded maps, videos or social media plugins. The hosting provider may independently provide technically necessary hosting features; its information is linked in section 2.

External websites are opened only when you follow a relevant link. The respective operator’s privacy information then applies.

5. Recipients and retention

Received enquiries are accessible to the people at GKM responsible for handling them and, where necessary, service providers engaged for hosting and email operations. Within this service, we do not sell your data or pass it on for advertising purposes.

We retain received enquiries for as long as needed to handle them, manage a resulting business relationship or protect legitimate legal interests. We then delete the data unless statutory retention duties apply. The retention period for technical hosting data is described in section 2.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you normally live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. The Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA) supervises private businesses in Bavaria.

7. Right to object

Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). Send your objection to info@gkm-energyengineering.de. We will assess it in accordance with the legal requirements.

8. Security and updates

The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. The processing described here involves no solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects and no profiling.
